A glass plate having a resin layer according to the present invention comprises a glass plate and a resin layer. The glass plate has a main surface and end surfaces positioned at ends of the main surface. The resin layer is formed of a water-insoluble resin. The resin layer has an end surface-covering portion that covers the end surfaces, and a main surface-covering portion that covers a portion of the main surface. The main surface-covering portion extends 1-10 mm towards the main surface from boundaries between the main surface and the end surfaces.
