LASER CRYSTALLING APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF

본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 레이저 결정화 장치는 입사 레이저 빔을 발생시키는 복수의 레이저 발생기, 입사 레이저 빔을 광변환시켜 출사 레이저 빔을 만드는 광학계, 출사 레이저 빔이 조사되어 기판에 형성된 박막이 결정화되는 공정 챔버, 출사 레이저 빔의 합성 펄스를 검출하는 제1 모니터링부, 입사 레이저 빔의 개별 펄스를 검출하는 제2 모니터링부, 그리고 상기 복수의 레이저 발생기의 발진 시점을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하고, 제어부는 상기 입사 레이저 빔의 개별 펄스를 조합하여 복수의 합성 펄스를 생성하고, 복수의 합성 펄스 중 최적 합성 펄스를 도출한다. A laser crystallization apparatus includes: a plurality of laser generators which generates an incident laser beam; an optical system which optically converts the incident laser beam to an output laser beam; a process chamber in which a thin film formed on a substrate is crystallized by the output laser beam radiated thereto; a first monitoring device which detects a synthesized pulse of the output laser beam; a second monitoring device which detects individual pulses of the incident laser beam; and a controller which controls oscillation times of the plurality of laser generators. The controller generates a plurality of synthesized pulses by combining the individual pulses of the incident laser beam, and derives an optimal synthesized pulse from the plurality of synthesized pulses.
