The present invention relates to a denitration catalyst and use thereof, the denitration catalyst having excellent nitrogen oxide (NOx) removal efficiency even under NOx emission conditions in which the proportion of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) generated at low temperature at starting/stopping (on/off) is high. The denitration catalyst of the present invention is for removing nitrogen oxide (NOx) from exhaust gas in which the proportion of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) among NOx is 10-100 volume%, wherein the denitration catalyst includes at least a portion of the structure Mn(VO2)2.
