Zusammenfassung: | The present invention aims to provide a positive electrode active material with excellent initial capacity and initial efficiency characteristics and provides a manufacturing method of a positive electrode active material, a positive electrode active material manufactured thereby, and a positive electrode and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same, wherein the manufacturing method of a positive electrode active material comprises: a step (A) of mixing a positive electrode active material precursor with a lithium-containing raw material to manufacture a mixture and firing the mixture to manufacture a fired product; and a step (B) of washing the fired product with a cleaning solution and drying the same to manufacture a lithium transition metal oxide. The firing is performed under an oxygen atmosphere of 90 volume% of oxygen concentrations. From a time when 55 - 85 % of the entire firing time goes by, the firing is performed under an oxygen atmosphere of 20-60 volume% of oxygen concentrations.
