Zusammenfassung: | A driver assistance apparatus comprises a control unit which controls ACC control of detecting a front vehicle driving in front of a host vehicle based on data output from at least one of a camera, a radar, and a LIDAR, and maintaining a target inter-vehicle distance between the host vehicle and the front vehicle. The control unit identifies whether the front vehicle is departing from a driving lane based on the movement of the front vehicle while controlling the ACC control, identifies whether a lane in the direction in which the front vehicle is moving is a lane from which the front vehicle can depart if the front vehicle is departing, and shortens the target inter-vehicle distance for the ACC control if the lane is a lane from which the front vehicle can depart, compared to a lane from which the front vehicle cannot depart. Therefore, the driver assistance apparatus can prevent unnecessary deceleration and acceleration of the host vehicle if the front vehicle departs from the lane in which the host vehicle is driving.
