STEEL FUEL TANK FOR VEHICLE

An objective of the present invention is to provide a steel fuel tank for a vehicle which reduces the cost of a steel fuel tank for a vehicle, reduces the weight of the fuel tank, and simplifies manufacturing processes. The steel fuel tank for a vehicle forms an internal space in which fuel is stored by coupling an upper plate and a lower plate and comprises: an upper groove formed by indenting a portion of the upper plate of a steel material downwardly toward the internal space, and provided with a first end surface formed on the lower end thereof; and a lower groove formed by indenting a point of the lower plate of a steel material corresponding to the upper groove upwardly toward the internal space, and provided with a second end surface formed on the upper end thereof and coming in surface contact with the first end surface. The first end surface and the second end surface are coupled through welding while coming in surface contact with each other to allow the upper groove and the lower groove to perform a support function of the internal space as one unit. 상판과 하판이 결합되어 연료가 저장되는 내부공간을 형성하는 차량의 스틸 연료탱크에 있어서, 스틸 재질의 상판의 일 부분이 내부공간을 향해 하방으로 만입되어 형성되고, 하단부에 제1끝단면이 형성된 상부홈 및 스틸 재질의 하판에서 상부홈에 대응되는 지점이 내부공간을 향해 상방으로 만입되어 형성되고, 상단부에 제1끝단면과 면접되는 제2끝단면이 형성된 하부홈을 포함하고, 제1끝단면과 제2끝단면이 상호 면 접촉된 상태에서 용접을 통해 결합되어 상부홈과 하부홈이 일체로 내부공간의 지지대 기능을 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 스틸 연료탱크가 소개된다.
