Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a separator and a manufacturing method thereof, and more specifically, to a separator that can ensure the stability of a battery and has characteristics of significantly low heat shrinkage and a minimal increase in resistance even at a high temperature, and a manufacturing method thereof. The separator according to the present invention includes: a porous substrate; and an inorganic particle layer positioned on one or both sides of the porous substrate, wherein the inorganic particle layer includes inorganic particles and a rod-shaped inorganic binder. 본 발명은 분리막 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 전지의 안정성을 확보할 수 있으며, 고온에서도 현저히 낮은 열수축성과 저항 증가가 최소화되는 특성을 가지는 분리막 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 분리막은 다공성 기재; 및 상기 다공성 기재의 일면 또는 양면 상에 위치하는 무기입자층;을 포함하며, 상기 무기입자층은 무기입자 및 로드형 무기바인더를 포함한다.
