Zusammenfassung:	The present invention includes: a battery module in which a plurality of battery cells are assembled while overlapping with each other between end plates on both sides; a lower case covering the lower side of the battery modules arranged in a flat manner; an upper cover coupled to the upper side of the lower case and covering the upper side of the battery modules; and a first blocking member that is made of a heat-resistant and insulating material and is provided in a region where an area between the end plates of the battery module and the lower case is locally narrowed. 본 발명은 양측의 엔드플레이트 사이에 다수의 배터리셀이 중첩된 상태로 조립된 배터리모듈; 평면적으로 배치된 상기 배터리모듈들의 하측을 커버하는 로워케이스; 상기 로워케이스의 상측에 결합되며 상기 배터리모듈들의 상측을 커버하는 어퍼커버; 상기 배터리모듈의 엔드플레이트와 상기 로워케이스 사이가 국부적으로 좁아지는 부위에 구비되는 내열 및 절연 재질의 제1차단부재를 포함하여 구성된다.
