APPARATUS FOR GENERATING VIRTUAL STEERING SOUND OF VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A virtual steering sound generation device for a vehicle and a control method thereof are disclosed. The virtual steering sound generation device for a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a steering state input unit which receives a steering state of the vehicle; a driving state input unit which receives a driving state of the vehicle; a volume selection unit which sets an output volume of the virtual steering sound; a sound mode selection unit which sets a sound mode of the virtual steering sound; a storage unit which stores a virtual steering sound according to the sound mode; a control unit which receives the steering state and the driving state, and outputs the virtual steering sound stored in the storage unit at the set output volume according to the sound mode set based on the steering and driving states; and an output unit which outputs the virtual steering sound produced by the control unit as sound.
