In the reclaimable material according to an embodiment of the present invention, a petroleum coke-derived carbon material has a fixed carbon content of 97 wt% or more, the sulfur content is 0.5 wt% or less, the remainder includes nitrogen, the degree of graphitization is 91 % or more, and La among the XRD peak results is 15 nm or more. 본 발명은 가탄재 및 가탄재 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른, 가탄재는 석유계 코크스 유래 탄소 재료의 고정 탄소량이 97 중량% 이상이고, 황 함량이 0.5 중량% 이하이고, 잔부로 질소를 포함하고, 흑연화도가 91 % 이상이며, XRD 피크 결과 값 중 La이 15 ㎚ 이상일 수 있다.
