Zusammenfassung:Disclosed are an instant messaging service method and a device for providing a schedule service. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a schedule management server includes the steps of: receiving a schedule creating request; selecting any one of a first type of calendar belonging to a chatroom in which the schedule creating request is created and a second type of calendar belonging to a user account which creates the schedule creating request, according to a schedule type included in the schedule creating request; and creating a schedule corresponding to the selected type of calendar. 일정 서비스를 제공하는 인스턴트 메시징 서비스 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 일실시예에 따른 일정 관리 서버는 일정 생성 요청을 수신하는 단계, 일정 생성 요청에 포함된 일정 유형에 따라, 일정 생성 요청이 생성된 채팅방에 귀속되는 제1 유형의 캘린더 및 일정 생성 요청을 생성한 사용자 계정에 귀속되는 제2 유형의 캘린더 중 어느 하나를 선택하는 단계, 및 선택된 유형의 캘린더에 대응하는 일정을 생성하는 단계를 포함한다.
