DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY DRIVING METHOD

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a display device and a display driving method, for providing an improved readability such that a user can recognize images corresponding to a transmission region. The disclosed display device comprises: a display panel in which an optical region separated into a transmission region and a light emitting region, and a general region including a plurality of light emitting regions on the periphery of the optical region are formed in a display region; a gate driving circuit which supplies a gate signal to the display panel; a data driving circuit which converts image data into a data voltage and supplying the same to the display panel; and a display controller which, if a region displaying the image data includes an optical region, controls a movement path of the image data such that at least a portion of the image data moves in time according to a structure of the optical region. 본 개시의 실시예들은 디스플레이 장치 및 디스플레이 구동 방법에 관한 것으로서, 투과 영역과 발광 영역으로 구분되는 광학 영역 및 광학 영역의 외곽에서 다수의 발광 영역을 포함하는 일반 영역이 표시 영역에 형성되는 디스플레이 패널과, 디스플레이 패널에 게이트 신호를 공급하는 게이트 구동 회로와, 영상 데이터를 데이터 전압으로 변환하여, 디스플레이 패널에 공급하는 데이터 구동 회로와, 영상 데이터가 표시되는 영역이 광학 영역을 포함하는 경우, 광학 영역의 구조에 따라 영상 데이터의 적어도 일부가 시간에 따라 이동하도록 영상 데이터의 이동 경로를 제어하는 디스플레이 컨트롤러를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치를 개시한다.
