Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are an electric four-wheel drive (E-4WD) system and a method for controlling a vehicle. The E-4WD system for a vehicle comprises four wheel motors. Each wheel motor consists of an electric motor for driving one wheel with which each wheel motor is associated. Each wheel motor includes a stator implemented in a suspension structure of the respective wheel and a rotor implemented in a semi-axle connected to the respective wheel to rotate along with the respective wheel relative to the stator.
