Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a food composition for preventing or improving sleep disorder containing a hop extract as an active ingredient. The hop extract of the present invention is as the food composition made by mixing a saaz hop extract and a saphir hop extract, and provides synergistic activity as a mixture rather than a single hope variety extract. Especially, since the hop extract has binding activity to a GABA_A receptor; promotes GABA production in a brain, and gene expression of the GABA_A receptor and a serotonin receptor; and increases sleep time and NREM sleep, the hop extract can be used as the food composition for preventing and improving sleep disorder. 본 발명은 호프 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 수면 장애 예방 또는 개선용 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서의 호프 추출물은 사즈(Saaz) 호프 추출물과 사피르(Saphir) 호프 추출물을 혼합한 식품 조성물로서, 단독 호프 품종 추출물 보다 혼합물로서 시너지 활성을 나타낸다. 특히 GABAA 수용체에 결합 활성을 갖고 있고, 뇌 내 GABA 생성 및 GABAA 수용체와 serotonin 수용체의 유전자 발현을 촉진시키며, 수면 시간 및 NREM 수면을 증가시키기 때문에 수면 장애 예방 및 개선용 식품 조성물로 활용될 수 있다.
