Zusammenfassung:According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an energy storage device comprises: a battery storing received electrical energy in a direct current form or outputting the stored electrical energy; and a battery manager controlling the battery. The battery manager comprises: a sensing portion including a plurality of sensors which measure a voltage, current, and temperature of the battery; a memory storing an open circuit voltage table and an internal resistance table; and a microcomputer unit determining battery internal resistance from the internal resistance table using data sensed by the sensing portion, calculating a real voltage of the battery reflecting voltage drop caused by the battery internal resistance, and determining a state of charge (SOC) using the real voltage of the battery.
