Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a composition for the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease containing an extract of Syneilesis aconitifolia as an active component. More specifically, the present invention can provide a composition for the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease containing an extract of Syneilesis aconitifolia as an active component which prevents inflammation by inhibiting the release of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), promotes proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts, inhibits the destruction of alveolar bone by reducing the formation and activity of osteoclasts, and increases proliferation and cell activity of periodontal ligament cells. 본 발명은 애기우산나물 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 치주질환 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 종양 괴사인자-알파(TNF-α)의 유리를 억제함으로써 염증을 예방하고, 조골세포의 증식 및 분화를 촉진하고, 파골세포의 형성 및 활성을 감소시켜 치조골의 파괴를 억제하며, 치주인대세포의 증식과 세포활성을 증가시키는 애기우산나물 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 치주질환 예방 및 치료용 조성물을 제공할 수 있다.
