Method and System for Reading Education for Enhancing Metacognition

Provided are a method and a system for reading education for improving metacognition through effective reading. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, the reading education system includes: a learner database storing learner information including reading level information of a learner; a book database storing information about books to be recommended; a reading level assessment part assessing the reading level of the learner, including the vocabulary and sentence comprehension of the learner; a book recommendation part recommending a book based on the reading level of the learner; and a reading activity progression part providing the learner with pre-reading activities to be performed before reading, in-reading activities to be performed during reading, and post-reading activities to be performed after reading. In accordance with the present invention, since the learner performs various activities related to the book being read before reading, after reading and during reading, the interest of the learner can be increased and metacognition can be increased. 효과적인 독서를 통한 메타인지 향상을 위한 독서 교육 방법 및 시스템이 제공된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 독서 교육 시스템은, 학습자의 독해수준 정보를 포함하는 학습자 정보를 저장하는 학습자 데이터베이스; 추천 대상 도서에 관한 정보를 저장하는 도서 데이터베이스; 학습자의 어휘력, 문장 이해력을 포함하는 학습자의 독해 수준을 평가하는 독해수준 평가부; 학습자의 독해 수준에 기초하여 도서를 추천하는 도서추천부; 및 독서하기 전에 수행하는 독서 전 활동, 독서하는 도중에 수행하는 독서 중 활동, 및 독서한 후에 수행하는 독서 후 활동을 학습자에게 제공하는 독서활동 진행부를 구비한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 독서하기 전과 독서를 마친 후 및 독서를 하는 중에 독서 중인 도서와 관련된 다양한 활동을 병행하므로 학습자의 흥미를 높이고 메타인지를 높일 수 있다.
