Display device and operating method for the same

Disclosed are a display device capable of automatically terminating a home menu screen when a power-on signal is generated by a control device corresponding to peripheral equipment connected to the display device, and a method of operating same. The display device comprises a wireless communication unit, an input/output unit, a display, a memory storing one or more instructions, and a processor executing the one or more instructions stored in the memory.
