Zusammenfassung:	A surface inspection apparatus for steel plates is disclosed to quickly and precisely inspect the surface of a steel plate whose surface is treated by plating or the like. The surface inspection apparatus for steel plates according to the present embodiment includes a polishing unit provided with a grindstone for polishing the surface of a steel plate, a first moving unit for moving the polishing unit in a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the steel plate, and a second moving unit for moving the polishing unit and the first moving unit in a direction parallel to the width direction of the steel plate, wherein the polishing unit includes a grindstone bracket for holding the grindstone, a driving cylinder for advancing or retracting the grindstone and the grindstone bracket to the surface of the steel plate, and a link member interposed between the grindstone bracket and the driving cylinder and rotatably supporting the grindstone bracket. 강판의 표면검사장치가 개시된다. 본 실시 예에 의한 강판의 표면검사장치는 강판의 표면을 연마시키는 지석을 구비하는 연마유닛, 연마유닛을 강판의 길이 방향과 나란한 방향으로 이동시키는 제1 이동유닛, 연마유닛 및 제1 이동유닛을 강판의 폭 방향과 나란한 방향으로 이동시키는 제2 이동유닛을 포함하고, 연마유닛은 지석을 파지하는 지석브래킷과, 지석과 지석브래킷을 강판의 표면을 향해 전진 또는 후퇴시키는 구동실린더와, 지석브래킷과 구동실린더 사이에 개재되되, 지석브래킷을 회전 가능하게 지지하는 링크부재를 포함하여 제공될 수 있다.
