Zusammenfassung:A positive electrode capable of increasing the capacity and output of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided. The disclosed positive electrode includes a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer supported by the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode active material layer is a positive electrode active material and contains particles of lithium composite oxide having a layered structure. The porosity of the positive electrode active material layer is 17 to 20%. The peak pore diameter in the pore distribution of the positive electrode active material layer measured by the mercury porosimetry is 0.400 to 0.550 μm. 비수전해질 이차 전지의 고용량화 및 고출력화가 가능한 정극이 제공된다. 여기에 개시되는 정극은, 정극 집전체와, 상기 정극 집전체에 지지된 정극 활물질층을 구비한다. 상기 정극 활물질층은, 정극 활물질로서, 층상 구조를 갖는 리튬 복합 산화물의 입자를 함유한다. 상기 정극 활물질층의 공극률은, 17% 내지 20%이다. 수은 압입법에 의해 측정되는 상기 정극 활물질층의 세공 분포에 있어서의 피크 세공 직경은, 0.400㎛ 내지 0.550㎛이다.
