본원 발명은, 이동체를 이동시키는 거리를 짧게 하여, 소형화가 가능한 전기 회로 차단 장치를 제공한다. 하우징(300)과, 상기 하우징(300) 내에 배치되어, 전기 회로의 일부를 구성하는 피절단부(400)와, 하우징(300)의 제 1 단부(320) 측에 배치되는 동력원(P)을 구비한, 전기 회로 차단 장치(600)로서, 피절단부(400)를 내부에 삽입 통과시켜 수용함과 더불어, 내부에 소호재(M)를 충전한 제 1 소호 공간(X1)을 구비하는 이동체(500)를 구비하고, 하우징(300)은, 이동체(500)를, 제 1 단부(320)와, 상기 제 1 단부(320)의 반대측의 제 2 단부(330)와의 사이에서 이동시킬 수 있는 이동체 수용부(310)를 구비하고, 이동체(500)는 동력원(P)에 의하여, 제 1 단부(320)로부터 제 2 단부(330)를 향하여 이동하면서, 이동체(500)의 제 1 소호 공간(X1) 내에 수용된 피절단부(400)를 절단하도록 구성되어 있고, 하우징(300)은, 이동체(500)가 이동하여 정지했을 때에, 절단되어 분리되는 피절단부(400)의 분리편(420)의 단부(422)에 면하도록 배치되며, 내부에 소호재(M)를 충전한 확장 소호 공간(X2)을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
