Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a wireless charging apparatus and a method therefor. The wireless charging apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a pad discrimination unit which discriminates a reception pad mounted on an electric vehicle entering a wireless charging station; and a power transmission unit selecting a transmission pad to correspond to the reception pad determined by the discrimination unit and transmitting a charging power to the reception pad through the transmission pad. An objective of the present invention is to provide the wireless charging apparatus capable of improving charging performance and the method therefor. 본 발명의 일실시 예에 따른 무선 충전 장치는 무선 충전소에 진입하는 전기 자동차에 장착된 수신패드를 판별하는 패드 판별부와 상기 판별부로부터 판별된 상기 수신패드에 대응되도록 송신패드를 선택하고, 상기 송신패드를 통해 상기 수신패드에 충전 전력을 전송하는 전력 송신부를 구비하는 것을 포함한다.
