Specifically, the antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof according to the present invention binds to ASM protein with a specific high avidity, and thus can be usefully used for detection of ASM protein or diagnosis of diseases caused by the overexpression of ASM protein. 본 발명은 ASM(acid sphingomyelinase) 단백질에 특이적으로 결합하는 항체에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로, 본 발명에 따른 항체 또는 이의 항원 결합 단편은 ASM 단백질에 특이적으로 높은 결합력으로 결합함으로써, ASM 단백질의 검출이나, ASM 단백질의 과발현으로 인해 발생하는 질환의 진단 등에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
