Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a load sensing system sensing overhanging load of a vehicle, and a method thereof. The load sensing system sensing the overhanging load of the vehicle comprises: a sensor system configured to provide load measurement data for a load loaded in the vehicle by measuring at least one of an external dimension of the load protruding over an outer edge of the vehicle and an open status of a tailgate of the vehicle; and a control device configured to evaluate whether the load is overhanging the vehicle based on the load measurement data from the sensor system and to calculate an updated vehicle length and/or vehicle width for the vehicle taking the overhanging load into account.
