Disclosed are an electronic device for preventing acoustic noise while an image is being provided, and a control method thereof. The electronic device includes a display that comprises multiple scan lines arranged in a direction, multiple data lines arranged in a direction perpendicular to the plurality of scan lines, and pixels formed at an intersection area of the scan lines and the data lines; and a processor that provides scan signals to the multiple scan lines during a time interval corresponding to an image frame in a sequential scanning manner, and provides image signals corresponding to the image frame to the data lines corresponding to the scan lines to which the scan signals are provided.
