A method for a content providing server to provide a service, to which a terminal does not subscribe, to the terminal, includes the following steps of: receiving authentication information of a second terminal from the second terminal; in response to the reception of the authentication information of the second terminal, authenticating a service to which the second terminal has subscribed, wherein the first terminal is not subscribing to the service to which the second terminal has subscribed; in response to the authentication of the service to which the second terminal has subscribed, transmitting content corresponding to the service to which the second terminal has subscribed, to the second terminal; receiving identification information of the second terminal from the first terminal; in response to the reception of the identification information, comparing the authentication information with the identification information; and based on the comparison result, transmitting the content corresponding to the service to which the second terminal has subscribed, to the first terminal.
