ALKALI SOLUBLE RESIN USING SUSPENSION POLYMERIZATION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to an alkali-soluble resin using suspension polymerization and a preparing method thereof. Specifically, the present invention may provide an eco-friendly alkali-soluble resin free from VOC regulations by preparing a copolymer having similar physical properties as using styrene without containing a styrene monomer by suspension polymerization. When used as a coating solution, the alkali-soluble resin according to the present invention has excellent mechanical properties such as durability and surface strength, and has a low viscosity compared to the same molecular weight, thereby facilitating a process for preparing a coating solution and paint. Accordingly, the eco-friendly alkali-soluble resin with high availability throughout the industry may be provided. 본 발명은 현탁중합을 이용한 알칼리 수용성 수지 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 기술이다. 구체적으로 본 발명은 스티렌 단량체를 포함하지 않으면서도 스티렌을 사용하는 것과 동등 유사한 물성을 갖는 공중합체를 현탁중합하여 제조함으로써 VOC 규제로부터 자유로운 친환경적인 알칼리 수용성 수지를 제공할 수 있다. 본 발명에 따른 알칼리 수용성 수지는 코팅액으로 사용시 내구성 및 표면강도와 같은 기계적 물성이 매우 우수하며, 동일 분자량 대비 저점도를 가져 코팅액 및 도료의 제조공정을 용이하게 할 수 있어 산업 전반으로 이용가능성이 높은 친환경 알칼리 수용성 수지를 제공할 수 있다.
