Zusammenfassung:Provided are an electronic device for predicting cervical spine injury of an occupant on an accident vehicle and a driving method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the electronic device for predicting cervical spine injury of an occupant on an accident vehicle comprises: an accident data acquiring module which acquires accident data including at least one of (a) age of the occupant, (b) sex of the occupant, (c) a body mass index (BMI) of the occupant, (d) vehicle information of the accident vehicle, (e) whether the occupant has worn a seat belt, (f) a position of the occupant, and (h) a degree of deformation of the accident vehicle; a processor; and a memory which is operatively connected to the processor. The memory may include instructions, which enable the processor to generate a prediction formula, which includes the accident data as variables and determines cervical spine injury of the occupant, calculate a result value by applying the accident data to the prediction formula, generate a comparison result by comparing the result value with a predefined reference value, and determine cervical spine injury of the occupant based on the comparison result during driving of the processor. 경추 손상을 예측하는 전자 장치 및 그 구동 방법이 제공된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 사고 차량 탑승자의 경추 손상 여부를 예측하는 전자 장치는, 탑승자의 (a)나이, (b)성별, (c)BMI(Body Mass Index), (d)사고 차량의 차량 정보, (e)탑승자의 안전벨트 착용 여부, (f)탑승자의 위치, (g)사고 차량의 충돌 영역, (h)사고 차량의 변형 정도 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 사고 데이터를 획득하는 사고 데이터 획득 모듈, 프로세서 및 프로세서에 작동적으로(operatively) 연결되는 메모리를 포함하되, 메모리는, 프로세서의 구동시에, 프로세서가, 탑승자의 경추 손상 여부를 판단하는 예측식을 생성하되, 예측식은 상기 사고 데이터를 변수로 포함하고, 예측식에 사고 데이터를 대입한 결과값을 계산하고, 결과값과 기정의된 기준값을 비교하여 비교 결과를 생성하고, 비교 결과에 기초하여 탑승자의 경추 손상 여부를 결정하도록 하는 인스트럭션들(instructions)을 포함할 수 있다.
