Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a communication terminal for a vehicle and a method for setting a communication environment thereof. The communication terminal for a vehicle comprises: a second conversion unit which receives encoded detailed traffic information from a vehicle terminal that receives traffic information from roadside equipment (RSE) and extracts detailed traffic information, to decode the received detailed traffic information; a communication control unit which receives the decoded detailed traffic information from the second conversion unit, and sets a communication environment to correspond to the detailed traffic information with reference to a data storage unit; and a second communication unit which communicates with the communication environment set by the communication control unit. 차량용 통신단말기 및 그 통신 환경 설정 방법에 대한 발명이 개시된다. 본 발명의 차량용 통신단말기는 노변장치(RSE)로부터 교통정보를 수신하여 세부 교통정보를 추출하는 차량단말기로부터 엔코딩된 세부 교통정보를 수신하여 디코딩하는 제2변환부와, 제2변환부로부터 디코딩된 세부 교통정보를 입력받고 데이터저장부를 참고하여 세부 교통정보에 대응하도록 통신 환경을 설정하는 통신제어부 및 통신제어부에서 설정된 통신 환경으로 통신하는 제2통신부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
