Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a deterioration state estimation apparatus, comprising: an image input unit for receiving at least one input image of a metal surface; an image pre-processing unit that converts the input image into a gray image; an image feature extraction unit generating an edge image by performing a convolution operation between the gray image and a preset filter, and converting the edge image into a binary image; a probability statistics calculation unit calculating a probability value from the binary image; and a deterioration grade determination unit for determining a deterioration grade of the metal surface based on the probability value calculated through the probability statistics calculation unit. An objective of the present invention is to provide the apparatus and method for estimating a deterioration state capable of deriving a standardized result by objectively analyzing the deterioration state of a metal surface. 본 발명은 열화 상태 추정 장치로서, 금속 표면을 촬영한 적어도 하나의 입력 영상을 수신하는 영상 입력부; 상기 입력 영상을 그레이(gray) 영상으로 변환하는 영상 전처리부; 상기 그레이 영상과 미리 설정된 필터 간의 컨볼루션 연산을 수행하여 엣지 영상을 생성하고, 상기 엣지 영상을 이진 영상으로 변환하는 영상 특징 추출부; 상기 이진 영상으로부터 확률값을 산출하는 확률통계 연산부; 및 상기 확률통계 연산부를 통해 산출된 확률값을 기반으로 상기 금속 표면의 열화 등급을 판단하는 열화등급 판단부를 포함한다.
