Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a refrigerator having a structure in which ice with high transparency is obtained by supplying water to a tray in a freezing chamber and cooling the same, and a method for controlling the same. According to the present invention, the refrigerator comprises: a tray; a water supply unit communicating with the tray to supply water into the tray; a heating unit provided to heat water supplied into the tray; a cooling unit provided to cool the inside of the tray; a condensate recovery unit installed to communicate with the tray, recovering water vapor in the tray, separating it into condensate and air, and transferring the separated condensate to the water supply unit; and a control unit which controls the water supply unit and the heating unit so that the water supplied in the tray rises above the boiling point and steam is generated, and controls the cooling unit so that the water in the tray in which the dissolved air concentration is reduced according to the generation of water vapor is converted into ice.
