Zusammenfassung:	A method for compressing a point cloud is provided. A method of compressing a point cloud includes the steps of: converting a plurality of points constituting a cloud point into a predetermined voxel unit; performing file hashing on points converted in units of voxels; determining whether data is duplicated based on the file hashing value; and distinguishing redundant data from additional data based on whether the data is duplicated or not and storing and recording them. 포인트 클라우드의 압축 방법이 제공된다. 포인트 클라우드의 압축 방법은 클라우드 포인트를 구성하는 복수 개의 포인트를 소정의 복셀(Voxel) 단위로 변환하는 단계와, 복셀 단위로 변환된 포인트에 대하여 파일 해싱을 수행하는 단계와, 상기 파일 해싱값에 기초하여 데이터 중복 여부를 판단하는 단계와, 데이터 중복 여부에 기초하여 중복 데이터와 추가 데이터를 구분하여 저장 및 기록하는 단계를 포함한다.
