The present invention relates to a method for promoting the proliferation of natural killer cells by controlling the surface area of cell culture vessels. According to a method according to one aspect of the present invention, the proliferation of natural killer cells can be promoted by controlling the surface area of cell culture vessels during culture, so that natural killer cells can be simply produced on a large scale at high efficiency and low costs when compared with conventional culture methods without requiring additional additives such as interleukins, antibodies, or supporting cells.
