Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is a method for managing an online support group to increase a likelihood that the users will achieve their health goals. A request to join the support group is received from the user. A preference of the user for a type of support group is received. The support group is selected from among a plurality of support groups based on the preference of the user and a preference of a member of the support group.
