System and method for adequacy of the quantity of heavy equipment

Disclosed are a system and method for diagnosing an adequacy of a heavy equipment retained quantity. The system for diagnosing the adequacy of the heavy equipment retained quantity comprises: a driving information generating device provided in each of the heavy equipment to generate the driving information and the location information of a corresponding heavy equipment; and a diagnosing device that generates the work information related to a unit work period and idle period of each heavy equipment using the driving information and the location information received from each driving information generating device, and generates a risk chart according to the changes in the quantity of the heavy equipment retained using the work information of the heavy equipment belonging to the relevant heavy equipment group for each preset heavy equipment group.
