Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to an outdoor unit of an air conditioner. The outdoor unit includes: a compressor; an accumulator providing a refrigerant to the compressor; an outdoor heat exchanger including a first outdoor heat exchange part exchanging heat between outside air and a refrigerant, and a second outdoor heat exchange part placed on a lower side of the first outdoor heat exchange part; a first variable pass header connected with the first outdoor heat exchange part to flow the refrigerant; a second variable pass header connected with the second outdoor heat exchange part to flow the refrigerant; a bypass band connected with the first outdoor heat exchange part, and bypassing a part of the refrigerant flowing in the first outdoor heat exchange part; a gas-liquid separation header connected with the bypass band, and separating a gas refrigerant and a liquid refrigerant from the refrigerant supplied from the bypass band; and a gas-liquid separation pipe connecting the gas-liquid separation header and the accumulator, and providing the gas refrigerant of the gas-liquid separation header to the accumulator. When the outdoor heat exchanger of the present invention is operated as an evaporator, the evaporated refrigerant is separated at an upper end in which wind velocity is high, which can lead to an advantage of minimizing a pressure loss of the refrigerant flowing in the outdoor heat exchanger. 본 발명은 압축기; 상기 압축기에 냉매를 제공하는 어큐뮬레이터; 실외공기와 냉매를 열교환시키는 제 1 실외열교환부와, 상기 제 1 실외열교환부의 하측에 배치되는 제 2 실외열교환부를 포함하는 실외열교환기; 상기 제 1 실외열교환부와 연결되어 냉매를 유동시키는 제 1 가변패스헤더; 상기 제 2 실외열교환부와 연결되어 냉매를 유동시키는 제 2 가변패스헤더; 상기 제 1 실외열교환부와 연결되고, 상기 제 1 실외열교환부를 유동하는 냉매의 일부를 바이패스시키는 바이패스밴드; 상기 바이패스밴드와 연결되고, 상기 바이패스밴드에서 공급된 냉매에서 기체 냉매 및 액체냉매를 분리하는 기액분리헤더; 상기 기액분리헤더 및 어큐뮬레이터를 연결하고, 상기 기액분리헤더의 기체냉매를 상기 어큐뮬레이터에 제공하는 기액분리배관;을 포함한다. 본 발명의 실외열교환기가 증발기로 작동될 때, 풍속이 큰 상단에서 증발된 냉매를 분리하기 때문에, 실외열교환기를 유동하는 냉매의 압력손실을 최소화할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
