A cloud server and a control method thereof are provided. The cloud server of the present disclosure may include: a communication unit; a storage device which can be accessed by a plurality of security modules; and a processor which, when receiving a preparation request signal for data transmission from an external device and identification information of a user of the external device through the communication unit, acquires security data corresponding to the identification information through one of the plurality of security modules, controls the communication unit to transmit the security data to the external device, and stores the acquired security data in the storage device such that the plurality of security modules can share the acquired security data.
