APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MOVING WIRE ROD COIL

Disclosed is a wire coil transfer apparatus. The wire coil transfer apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a laying head for winding and discharging a wire coil; a conveyor for transferring the wire coil fallen from the laying head; a lifter which is vertically movable between transfer rollers that are located at a fall area of the conveyor where the wire coil is fallen and settled on the conveyor; a sensor unit for detecting a position of the wire core transferred along the conveyor from a location apart from the fall area of the conveyor by a prescribed distance; and a control unit which determines whether the wire coil is jammed on the conveyor based on detection information of the sensor unit and controls operation of the lifter based on the determined information.
