Method and apparatus for performing authentication and recording medium thereof

The present disclosure relates to a method and device for an electronic device to perform authentication. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the electronic device may receive an access request to an application, acquire any one of public helper data and private helper data used for user authentication based on the access-requested application, use a fuzzy extractor based on the public helper data or private helper data, acquire an encryption key from biometric information of the user received according to the access request, and perform user authentication for the access to the application based on the acquired encryption key. 본 개시는 전자 장치가 인증을 수행하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따르면, 전자 장치는, 애플리케이션으로의 액세스 요청을 수신하고, 액세스 요청된 애플리케이션에 기초하여, 사용자 인증에 이용되는 퍼블릭 헬퍼 데이터(public helper data) 및 프라이빗 헬퍼 데이터(private helper data) 중 어느 하나를 획득하며, 퍼블릭 헬퍼 데이터 또는 프라이빗 헬퍼 데이터를 기초로 퍼지 추출기(fuzzy extractor)를 이용하여, 액세스 요청에 따라 수신된 사용자의 생체 정보로부터 암호키를 획득하고, 획득된 암호키를 기초로 애플리케이션으로의 액세스를 위한 사용자 인증을 수행할 수 있다.
