모노폴라형 전해 장치는, 서로 평행한 한 쌍의 제1 면 및 제1 면과 직교하는 한 쌍의 제2 면으로 직사각형상의 내주면이 형성되는 외통과, 복수의 제1 전극판이 접속된 제1 금속 프레임과, 복수의 제2 전극판이 접속된 제2 금속 프레임과, 제1 전극판과 제2 전극판의 사이에 배치된 절연성의 스페이서를 갖고, 복수의 제1 전극판과 복수의 제2 전극판은 제1 면에 평행 또한 각각 번갈아 배치되며, 상기 단면에 있어서, 제1 면에 가장 가까운 전극판으로서 제1 전극판이 배치되고, 제1 전극판의 양단은 한 쌍의 제2 면에 각각 접하여 배치되며, 또한, 제2 전극판의 양단은 한 쌍의 제2 면으로부터 각각 이간하여 배치된다.
