Zusammenfassung:An objective of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and method for controlling power supply of a battery management system (BMS) using a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal which may prevent overcharge and overdischarge of a battery, and damage to a battery management function protection and battery protection circuit due to an MCU error of a BMS by preventing the generation of an error in a battery management function of the BMS and blocking supply of power to the BMS when the MCU not operates or malfunctions. The apparatus for controlling power supply of a BMS using a PWM signal comprises: a BMS controller for controlling the BMS to generate and output a PWM signal; a first switching control signal generator charged by the PWM signal to output a first switching control signal of a predetermined voltage after a predetermined time; a first switching unit turned on or off according to the first switching control signal; and a VF signal generator activating a BMS power supply control signal to switch power supply and power blocking to the BMS when the first switching unit is turned on, and deactivating the BMS power supply control signal when the first switching unit is turned off. According to the present invention, when the MCU not operates or malfunctions, it is considered that an error is occurred in the BMS so that the generation of the error in a BMS management module and damage to a battery protection circuit can be prevented, and the overcharge and overdischarge of a battery due to an error in the MCU of the BMS can be prevented by blocking the supply of power to the BMS. 본 발명은 PWM 신호를 이용한 배터리관리시스템(BMS)의 전원 공급 제어 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 그 PWM 신호를 이용한 배터리관리시스템(BMS)의 전원 공급 제어 장치는 배터리관리 시스템을 제어하고 PWM 신호를 생성하여 출력하는 BMS 제어부; PWM신호에 의해 충전되어 소정 시간 후에는 일정 전압의 제1스위칭 제어신호를 출력하는 제1스위칭제어신호 생성부; 제1스위칭 제어신호에 의해 턴 온 또는 턴 오프되는 제1스위칭부; 및 제1스위칭부가 턴 온되면 배터리관리 시스템으로 전원 공급 및 차단을 스위칭하는 BMS전원공급 제어신호를 활성화하고, 제1스위칭부가 턴 오프되면 BMS전원공급 제어신호를 비활성화하는 VF신호생성부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면, BMS의 제어부가 동작하지 않거나 오동작하면 BMS에 에러가 발생한 것으로 간주함으로써 BMS 관리 모듈의 에러를 방지하고 배터리 보호 회로의 손상을 막을 수 있고, BMS에 전원이 공급되는 것을 차단함으로써, BMS의 MCU 에러로 인한 배터리의 과충전 및 과방전을 막을 수 있다.
