Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating cancerous cachexia containing artesunate, wherein artesunate of the present invention exhibits a significant weight loss alleviation effect in a cancerous cachexia mouse model induced by injection of CT26, a colorectal cancer cell line, into the groin; inhibits the expression of serum concentrations of IL6, CRP, and TNF-α, which act as major indicator factors for cancerous cachexia; and exhibits an effect of inhibiting the reduction in the size and weight of muscle tissues caused by cancerous cachexia, thereby being useful as the composition for preventing, alleviating or treating cancerous cachexia. 본 발명은 아르테수네이트(Artesunate)를 함유하는 암성 악액질 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 아르테수네이트(Artesunate)은 대장암 세포주인 CT26을 사타구니에 주입하여 유발한 암성 악액질 마우스 모델에서 유의성 있는 체중 감소 개선 효과를 보였으며, 암성 악액질의 주요 지표 인자로서 작용하는 IL6, CRP 및 TNF-α의 혈청 농도의 발현을 억제하였고, 암성 악액질에 의한 근육 조직의 크기 및 무게 감소를 억제하는 효과를 나타내므로, 암성 악액질 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물로 유용할 수 있다.
