Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a method and device for retargeting an image for expanding or reducing an image ratio. In this embodiment, the image ratio is expanded by acquiring an image in which a line extracted from an energy map for an area other than an area to be preserved in the input image is inserted, and the image ratio is reduced by acquiring a line deletion image extracted from the energy map for the area excluding the area to be preserved in a correct answer image, in the provided method and device for retargeting an image. 영상 비율을 확장 또는 축소하기 위한 영상 리타겟팅 방법 및 장치를 개시한다. 본 실시예는 입력 이미지에서 보존하고자 하는 영역을 제외한 영역에 대한 에너지 맵(Energy Map)에서 추출된 라인(Line)을 삽입한 이미지를 획득하여 영상 비율이 확장하거나, 정답 이미지에서 보존하고자 하는 영역을 제외한 영역에 대한 에너지 맵에서 추출된 라인 삭제 이미지를 획득하여 영상 비율을 축소하는 영상 리타겟팅 방법 및 장치를 제공한다.
