The video information providing device selects a video according to the scale of a displayed map and displays it as a thumbnail and the like, on the map so that information of interest to a user can be efficiently provided, and at the same time, provides a 360-degree image or VR image to the user when clicking on the thumbnail so that vivid information of the travel destination can be delivered. It is possible to effectively express information about good travel places along with a map. 본 발명은 디스플레이(display)되는 지도의 축척에 따라 영상을 선별하여 해당 지도에 썸(thumb) 네일(nail) 등으로 표출하여 제공함으로써 사용자가 관심을 가질 정보를 효율적으로 제공할 수 있는 동시에, 해당 썸 네일을 클릭시 360도 영상 또는 브이알 영상을 사용자에게 제공하여 여행지의 생생한 정보를 전달할 수 있는 영상 정보 제공 장치 및 영상 정보 제공 방법에 관한 것이다.
