Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a composition for protecting liver damage caused by heavy metals containing extracts from Elaeagnus umbellate leaves as an active ingredient, particularly in which the extracts of Elaeagnus umbellate leaves were prepared to confirm toxic relief from heavy metals thereof (cadmium or lead). According to the present invention, when cadmium is treated to HepG2 hepatocytes pretreated with the extracts of Elaeagnus umbellate leaves to induce toxicity, it is confirmed that cytotoxicity and an intracellular uptake amount of cadmium are reduced compared to HepG2 hepatocytes not treated with the extracts of Elaeagnus umbellate leaves, thereby confirming the possibility of the extracts of Elaeagnus umbellate leaves for alleviating liver damage caused by cadmium in the extracts of Elaeagnus umbellate leaves, which can be thus used in pharmaceutical compositions and health functional foods useful for the prevention and treatment of liver damage caused by heavy metals.
본 발명은 보리수나무(Elaeagnus umbellata) 잎 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 중금속에 의한 간손상 보호용 조성물에 대한 것으로, 상세하게는 보리수나무 잎 에탄올 추출물을 제조하고, 이의 중금속(카드뮴 또는 납)으로부터의 독성 완화를 확인하였다. 본 발명에 따르면, 보리수나무 잎 추출물을 선처리한 HepG2 간세포에 카드뮴을 처리하여 독성을 유도하게 되면, 보리수나무 잎 추출물을 처리하지 않은 HepG2 간세포에 비해 세포독성과 세포 내 흡수(uptake)되는 카드뮴량이 감소됨을 확인함으로써 보리수나무 잎 추출물의 카드뮴에 의한 간 손상 완화 가능성을 확인하여, 중금속에 의한 간손상 예방 및 치료에 유용한 약학조성물 및 건강기능식품에 이용될 수 있다. |
