Provided is a jelly-roll type electrode assembly wound with a separator interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. Provided are an electrode assembly and a secondary battery including the same, wherein the positive electrode includes a core unit and an outer unit. The core unit includes a first positive electrode current collector, a first positive electrode mixture layer positioned on the first positive electrode current collector, and a second positive electrode mixture layer positioned on the first positive electrode mixture layer. The outer unit includes a second positive electrode current collector, and a third positive electrode mixture layer positioned on the second positive electrode current collector.
