SANITARY WASHING APPARATUS

Provided is a sanitary washing device, in which a shielding plate is installed, enabling the water to adhere to the front side of a bowl from a spout hole formed in a nozzle. The sanitary washing device is provided on a toilet including the bowl. The sanitary washing device includes: a casing; a nozzle advanceable and retractable between a storage position and an advanced position; a shielding plate installed to be able to rotate; and a controller. The nozzle has a first spout hole squirting water frontward and downward. After using the sanitary washing device, the controller performs a frontward washing operation of squirting water from the first spout hole in a state in which the shielding plate is at a second position after having rotated to a second angle from the initial position thereof, wherein the second angle is less than the first angle when the nozzle advances. At least a part of the shielding plate is positioned frontward of a front end part of the nozzle in the frontward washing operation.
