Zusammenfassung:	According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is an operating method of an electronic device capable of meeting the diverse needs of users. The operating method of the electronic device comprises the steps of: displaying a preview screen when a camera application is executed; extracting feature information from the preview screen; converting user input into a predetermined input value and setting a depth based on the feature information and the input value when the user input is generated on the preview screen; and generating a result image in accordance with the depth when photographing is performed on the preview screen. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전자 기기의 동작 방법은, 카메라 애플리케이션이 실행되면, 미리보기 화면을 표시하는 단계, 상기 미리보기 화면에서 특징 정보를 추출하는 단계, 상기 미리보기 화면에서 사용자 입력이 발생하면, 상기 사용자 입력을 소정의 입력 값으로 변환하고, 상기 특징 정보와 상기 입력 값에 기초하여 심도(depth)를 설정하는 단계, 및 상기 미리보기 화면에서 촬영이 실행되면, 상기 심도에 따라 결과 이미지를 생성하는 단계를 포함한다.
