Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium secondary battery including the positive electrode active material. The positive electrode active material comprises: a core comprising a lithium transition metal oxide; and a coating layer disposed on the surface of the core and including a transition metal, wherein the coating layer includes a concentration gradient region in which the concentration of the transition metal changes in a direction of the core from the surface to a spot less than 150 nm away from the same. Structural/thermal stability is improved.
