APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING OBSTACLES TO DRIVING IN VEHICLES

The present invention relates to a device for detecting an obstacle while driving a vehicle. The device comprises: a global route generation unit generating a global route based on a departure point and a destination; a waypoint generation unit generating at least one waypoint based on the global route; a driving route generation unit generating a driving route by determining a location of the next waypoint on a driving route based on a current location of a vehicle; and a driving obstacle recognition unit recognizing an object on the road, which does not deviate beyond a specific reference from the location of the next waypoint, as an obstacle in the driving route. Accordingly, the present invention can determine whether an object in front of the vehicle corresponds to an obstacle, which obstructs driving. 본 발명은 차량의 주행 장애물 검출 장치에 관한 것으로, 출발지 및 목적지를 기초로 전역 경로를 생성하는 전역 경로 생성부, 상기 전역 경로를 기초로 적어도 하나의 웨이포인트를 생성하는 웨이포인트 생성부, 차량의 현재 위치를 기초로 주행 경로 상에 존재하는 다음 웨이포인트의 위치를 결정하여 주행 경로를 생성하는 주행 경로 생성부 및 상기 다음 웨이포인트의 위치에서 특정 기준 이상 이탈되지 않는 도로 상의 물체를 상기 주행 경로에 있는 주행 장애물로 인식하는 주행 장애물 인식부를 포함한다. 따라서, 본 발명은 차량의 전방에 있는 물체가 주행에 방해가 되는 주행 장애물에 해당하는지 여부를 판단할 수 있다.
